Whether you're thinking about quitting, ready to quit today or trying to cope with cravings and withdrawal symptoms, the Quitline can help.

Quitline is a confidential advice and information service. For the usual cost of a call from your phone, a trained Quitline counsellor can help you to plan and develop strategies to quit smoking and stay smoke-free. You can speak to a Quitline counsellor as many times as you wish to get support throughout your quitting  journey.

The Quitline head office is in Victoria, but there are trained Quitline counsellors here in WA. You can:

Read comments from people who successfully quit smoking using the Quitline.

Getting the call from Quitline so early on was a game changer. They bailed me out when I was about to go and get cigarettes, and gave me that extra incentive and reminder as to why I’m quitting for good.

I used to be a snob and thought, “what are you going to say to help me? ‘Stop smoking’?”. But when I talked to them I realised there were so many tips that could really help.

I feel so confident, I haven’t touched a cigarette in 4 weeks and the Quitline team really got me over the hard part.

This was the first time I engaged, and they were really good. The contact in the first few weeks has been so good – so supportive and helpful.

I’m 2 years smoke-free after talking to Quitline and it has completely turned my life around, every day is a reward. My family is so happy for me.

Champix, and willpower. Went to visit the GP and they prescribed it. I also gave the Quitline a call.
