Last Dance
What will be doesn’t have to be.
Imagine having your life tragically cut short, all because of smoking. Imagine having to tell the one you love you won’t be able to share the rest of your life with them. Think about having to tell your children you won’t be there to support them in their times of need.
It’s a fact that smokers live on average 10 years less, but it doesn't have to be this way. You, like so many others before you, can quit. The fact you’ve got loved ones there to help motivate you is a great place to start. Perhaps you’ve tried before but haven’t managed to do it. Don't be discouraged, many people have to try a few times before succeeding. There are lots of myths about smoking that might make it harder, so make sure you know all the facts. There are lots of tips that can help too. Maybe as a start, check out all the quit methods that have helped other people succeed.
The ‘Last Dance’ advertisement was first aired in Victoria and was developed by Quit Victoria. Now this emotional ad is having a big impact on Western Australians. After airing here for the first time in May 2016, a survey of WA smokers found that 70% of the people interviewed had taken some form of quitting action (either quit, attempted to quit or cut down) during the campaign period.
