From Every Quitter
#pleasehelpmequit
When we asked smokers what was the main reason their quit attempts had failed, the most common answer by far was friends and family smoking around them.
Clearly, it can be very hard to ask the loved ones you’ve smoked with for years not to light up around you anymore, but that needs to change. To help deliver this important message, we invited 12 quitters to take part in our campaign asking all smokers, on behalf of all quitters, to not smoke around them while they’re quitting. It’s a simple request, “if you love me, please help me quit”. These 12 people also gave frank interviews in which they talked about their own experiences of quitting and shared some very powerful and motivating advice on how to quit. Watch these videos for inspiration to help with your own quit attempt, or share them with friends to help them understand how they can support you. You’ll also find lots of other useful information on this website about ways to quit and how to stay quit. The Make Smoking History team would like to warmly express our appreciation to the 12 quitters and their friends and family who participated in this project.
